FAQs

FAQ

  • What are authorized generics?

Authorized generics are prescription drugs identical* to their brand-name counterparts and sold at generic prices. Authorized generics compete with other generics approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs). To find out more about authorized generics, please click here.

    * May have minor differences in their appearance, like markings on the product, coloring, labeling, and packaging.

  • How does AuthorizedGenerics.com work?

AuthorizedGenerics.com offers select prescription drugs identical* to the brand name, at generic prices. In just a few steps, we’ll send your authorized generic prescription right to your door.

    1. Select the authorized generic version of the medication prescribed to you by your doctor.
    2. Fill in your payment and shipping information to complete your purchase.
    3. Submit your prescription. Pharmaceutical drugs cannot be mailed without a valid prescription. For more information on submitting your prescription, see the FAQ item “How do I submit my prescription?”
    4. Our pharmacy fulfillment partner, NoviXus Pharmacy Services, will confirm the prescription and ship your medication straight to you.

Please note that Prasco, LLC administers AuthorizedGenerics.com and accepts payment for drugs purchased through the website. Drugs ordered from AuthorizedGenerics.com are dispensed by our pharmacy partner, NoviXus Pharmacy Services, which is an independent contractor to Prasco, LLC.  Prasco, LLC does not dispense medication and is not otherwise engaged in the practice of pharmacy; Prasco LLC is not licensed to practice pharmacy.

    * May have minor differences in their appearance, like markings on the product, coloring, labeling, and packaging.

  • What do I need to make a purchase?

All we need from you is a credit card and a valid prescription from your physician. Just select your medication and provide your payment information. Our Pharmacy Fulfillment Partner will receive, verify, and fill your prescription.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept HSA/FSA Cards at this time. You may be able to submit your receipt from AuthorizedGenerics.com to your health plan for reimbursement, depending on your plan’s policy.

  • Why has my credit card been charged already? Can I have a refund?

When you enter your payment information, you are authorizing our payment processor to hold funds, but your account has not actually been charged—in most cases, it will be classified as “pending” on your credit card statement. When your order ships, your card will be charged. If your order is not completed for any reason, it will be cancelled and the funds that were listed as pending will be removed. You will not see a refund on your statement; rather, the pending charge will disappear.

  • How do I get a prescription?

Your healthcare provider can write a prescription for you (at this time, we do not offer online doctors or healthcare services). If you don’t have a prescription now, you can still place your order—you’ll just need to go to your healthcare provider and they can confirm whether the prescription you have ordered is right for you. If you are unable to get a prescription, no problem—just let us know and you will not be charged for your order.

  • How do I submit my prescription?

There are three ways to submit your prescription to our pharmacy partner:

Ask your prescriber to send an e-script or fax to:
    NoviXus Pharmacy Services
    NPI: 1639310600
    Phone: 877-269-1159
    Fax: 877-395-4836 (physicians only)

    Transfer from your current pharmacy:
Just email or call us at 888-471-6320 Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, and we’ll take care of it. Helpful information for your email or phone call would be the phone number for your pharmacy and your prescription number (typically located on a prescription bottle).

    Mail your original paper prescription:
    NoviXus Pharmacy Services
    PO Box 8021
    Novi, MI 48376-8021

Why can’t I scan & upload my prescription, or fax it?
Sorry—based on FDA regulations, we are unable to accept prescriptions using these methods.

  • I submitted my prescription, but my order still states it is waiting on my prescription. Do you have it?

Thank you for submitting your prescription. Our account information is updated each evening at 9:00 PM EST, so if you submitted today, please check back in the morning. In most cases, your order will be shipped out in less than 24 hours from the time the pharmacy receives your prescription.

  • Do you take insurance?

While we do not take insurance at this time, you might find that our prices are still a more affordable option than your copayment or cost sharing for the medication under your health plan.

  • Where do you ship to?

Our licensed pharmacy partner, NoviXus Pharmacy Services, ships to all 50 states in the United States of America.

  • When can I expect my medication to arrive?

Once our licensed pharmacy partner, NoviXus Pharmacy Services, receives your prescription, you will receive an email notification that your medication has shipped, along with tracking information for your convenience. Most orders will arrive at your home within 1 to 3 days from the time we receive your script. Shipping times may vary depending on geographical location.

  • Is there an expedited shipping option?

Most orders will arrive within 1 to 3 days from the time we receive your prescription. We do not offer overnight or expedited shipping at this time. It’s helpful to submit your prescription right away so you can receive it as soon as possible.

  • How do I reorder? How often can I reorder? Will I need a new prescription?

If you are running low on your medication, you can return to AuthorizedGenerics.com and sign into your account. Once there, go to your [recent orders] tab and you will see an option to reorder. This will allow you to order a refill.*

If you purchased a medication and your prescription is out of refills, NoviXus Pharmacy Services will reach out to your prescriber to authorize additional fills. If you want to expedite your order, we suggest you contact your prescriber directly.

    * This is only the case if your prescriber has authorized refills.

  • What if something is wrong with my shipment? (e.g., didn’t arrive, is damaged, etc.)

If there is any issue with your order, please contact AuthorizedGenerics.com customer service at 888-471-6320.

  • What is the return policy?

Due to the nature of pharmaceutical products, we cannot accept returns. If there is something wrong with your order, please contact our customer service at 888-471-6320.

  • Is my information safe?

The safety of your information is our top priority. On AuthorizedGenerics.com, we use the same encryption methods used by major banks to ensure that your personal information stays private.

If you are able to get a prescription after your order has been cancelled, you can reorder by returning to AuthorizedGenerics.com and signing into your account.
